COVID-19 Protocol for Daily Operations
Hello all,
Things sure have changed for our industry in the past few months. I know coming back to the Beauty Houses may feel both exciting and nerve racking. Our Mission is always that our artists and the people we take care of are the most important part of our business and always will be. We have been closely watching our industry around the world as it responds to the current health crisis. We will uphold the highest standard of safety and sanitation to protect both our staff and our guests, while still providing the highest standard of services in a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. We will closely follow all of the regulations that we are governed under our licensure, which is issued by the Department of Safety and Professional Services and will be implementing guidelines set forth by the state for small business and salons and barber shops by the state of Wisconsin in response to COVID-19.
If you would like to dig in deeper to exactly what is listed for our licensure, please check out the links below.
Wisconsin statutes and administrative codes, which are regulatory guidelines that we are mandated to follow at all times.
Protocol and guidelines put forth by the state of Wisconsin in response to the COVID-19 pandemic:
Bottom line is that we will do everything in our power to keep everyone safe.
BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
We will have a health questionnaire attached to your appointment confirmation. Please fill out the questionnaire and choose your preferred PPE package option, which we will have ready and sanitized for you to pick up before your scheduled appointment.
Here are our suggested PPE package options for your safety and comfortability:
Please come to your appointment with clean hair that has been washed as close to your appointment time as possible. We will still wash your hair, but clean hair will limit any potential transmission of COVID-19.
Please use the hand sanitizer provided outside of our establishment and wear your own mask when entering our business to pick up your PPE package for your appointment.
Upon entering our establishment, you will pick up your PPE package located close to the front door and labeled with your name. You will then return to the outside seating provided by MBH or to your car and we will call or text to let you know that your beauty operator is ready for your appointment. There will be no waiting area in our establishments at this time.
During this time, we ask that you please come alone to your appointments. Although, we love your children and all the friendly stop-ins to the shops, we will only be allowing clients receiving services to enter our establishments at this time.
Please hydrate prior to your appointment, as we will be limiting beverages in the salon to prevent any cross-contamination between guests and employees.
We ask that you consider taking your temperature before your appointment.
We also ask that you limit bringing personal items to your appointment such as bags/food. We will provide sanitation wipes for phones/credit cards.

MOVING FORWARD, OUR PLAN IS AS FOLLOWS
We ask all clients to wash their hands upon entering our businesses. We will wash our hands between each client (following the safety protocol of at least 20 seconds).
We will keep hand sanitizer, disposable wipes, soap and tissues on hand and readily available.
We ask all clients to be mindful of coughing and sneezing and that they should make sure they are wearing a mask/covering their mouth/face and directing any cough/sneeze to their shoulder to prevent the spread of airborne disease.
We will post reminders to avoid handshakes and touching your face.
Masks will be worn by all staff performing services. We will also be wearing protective barber jackets and will have disposable aprons that will be switched after each appointment.
If you do not have your own mask, we are offering as many comfortable PPE options as possible and ask that you respect the safety and comfortability of our staff and other clients.
Our shops are already cleaned nightly, but we have added sanitation procedures to our daily deep cleaning duties for our business. You can be rest assured that we are doing everything we can to provide a safe and sanitary environment.
Protective gloves will be utilized by our staff if needed.
Protective face shields will be worn by staff during nail and facial appointments.
You will be offered the option of skipping your blow dry service as long as it will not affect the results of your service. You will be required to wear a mask if a blow dry service is being performed.
You will have a clean cape and protective neck strip for each service.
We will wipe down and sanitize each station, chair, and shampoo bowl in between clients and all salon tools and implements will be sterilized and sanitized with a MULTI-CIDE spray or BARBICIDE after each client.
BARBICIDE INFORMATION
We have received documentation from the EPA that BARBICIDE® is approved for efficacy against Human Coronavirus, including COVID-19. While no company has been able to receive actual COVID-19 samples and put them through the rigorous testing required, the EPA considers efficacy against Human Coronavirus to include COVID-19. Each client will receive a clean cape and we are tightening our standards of sanitation of tools and implements during this time.
MULTI-CIDE INFORMATION
